J D Rockefeller
Founded the Standard Oil Company and one of the richest men in the world. Unfortunately, he forgot to include us in his will.

The tycoon’s father, William Avery Rockefeller, was a traveling snake-oil salesman who posed as a deaf-mute peddler and hawked miracle drugs and herbal remedies.  J D Rockefeller, along with Andrew Carnegie and Cornelius Vanderbilt were considered Robber Barons. These tycoons  were monopolists who earned profits by intentionally restricting the production of goods and then raising prices.
